Object-storage cost calculator
Enter how much you store and how many requests you make per month, and this calculator estimates the monthly cost on every object-storage provider, ranked cheapest first. The maths is transparent: stored GB × $/GB-month, plus Class A (writes) and Class B (reads) per-million request fees. Egress is excluded — use the egress calculator for that. Nothing is uploaded; all figures are estimates.
Data as of June 2026.

Vendor pricing as of June 2026 — estimate, verify on the provider pricing page. List prices change frequently and vary by region. Excludes egress and storage minimums (e.g. Wasabi's 1 TB / 90-day minimums).

Frequently asked questions
How is object-storage cost calculated?
Storage cost = stored GB × the provider's $/GB-month rate. We add request costs = (Class A writes/lists × $/million) + (Class B reads × $/million). The total is storage + requests per month. Egress is shown separately because it depends on how much you download — use the egress calculator for that.
Which is cheapest for storage plus requests?
It varies with your read/write mix. Backblaze B2 and Wasabi have the lowest $/GB; Cloudflare R2 has low storage and free egress but charges for Class A/B operations; the hyperscalers cost more on storage. The calculator highlights the cheapest total for your inputs.
Does this include egress?
No — storage and request costs only. Egress (data transfer out) is often the biggest line item and depends on your download volume, so it has its own calculator. For a full picture, add the two.
